Found an androgynous photograph on the internet with rich black and white compositional qualities. I decided to try and mimic its tonal qualities but with a flare of abstraction. I used a spray gun to create a sepia tone on the white paper to begin with as to scarify the surface and then the addition of blue spray paint to add a colourful depth in the right cheek.
I thoroughly enjoy the surface tension that charcoal can achieve. Not sure if I will ever tire from it.
