Emile Pearson is an emerging Australian artist who resides in Adelaide & the Fleurieu Peninsula. Born in Port Lincoln, Emile feels a connection to nature and the beautiful isolation the country offers. Emile has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts at the University of South Australia. His work meanders between figurative realism and abstraction. He is a musician and cross-disciplinary artist who practices photography, drawing, painting, printmaking and public art. He is intrigued with the malleability of various materials to express his visual explorations. Emile attempts to create many different ways of eliciting emotive responses with his drawing and painting. Often achieving new and interesting processes through experimentation with a variation of media.
Travel is a major influence on Emile's work and progression as an artist, the most recent trip residing in Calgary, Alberta in Canada for a study exchange and exhibited his photographic work in a group exhibition.
Travel experiences extend to Europe, Scandinavia, Indonesia, New Zealand and America. His future ambitions include overseas study and art practice.
The latest body of work concerning gender roles and androgyny in modern society is Emile's latest passion. He is intrigued by the evolutionary echoes from past events that are still heard today, .and how the traditional definitions of gender are in a state of fluctuation.
Emile is constantly working and evolving his process through his different disciplinary investigation. His latest exhibit at RAW(Natural Born Artists) held in Adelaide will be a collection of his various pieces through the years.
